We spent all day yesterday in the water. But for us that involves a bit more than going to the backyard. We hired a jeepney and driver to take us to the hot springs in Mainit. It was about an hour along the bumpy road but hey incredible scenery...especially for those who rode on top. There are four pools at this "resort." (Resort here not to be mistaken for what you find when talking resort back in the States.) One was a large filled with greenish-brownish water. An other was about half the size of the large filled with hot water. To the delight of Annalise the "kiddie" pool was finished. About the size of a hot tub with concrete slide. It is filled with warm water and has a fountain of cool water around the edge. Another small pool is supposed to be for older people to relax. The cost for adults-50P, children 35P so to swim the 6 of us would be about $5. But transportation there cost 1500P...$32.
Someday we would love to come to the Cheek "Resort."
